LSOH production days:

LSOH production: The LSOH production was held at Teesside University, The Hub. Day 1: 20/05/2021 Those who attended: Kassie Emily Leah Isobel Stephen Paige Myself Eleanor Francesca Charlotte On the first day of the production, everyone showed up on time at around 11am. Paige and I showed up at around 9:30 to give us enough time to find the location of the venue and take a short break before we went back to set up. This shows good time management skills, teamwork and good communication skills as we both organised a suitable time for us to meet up and worked together to find the venue beforehand using Google Maps.  Once we had all arrived at The Hub, we took a look around the room we will be working in, as well as the room the production will be held in. This was important as we were able to find the best light sources suitable for applying the makeup under/in front of as well as how the tables were arranged and how we could set up on them. This included: where the actor will sit, wh...

Elijah Can't Die film production

Elijah Can’t Die: On 14/05/2021, Stephen Allenden, Amy Caldecott and I attended college to work on a film called Elijah Can’t Die. Together, we needed to turn the actor into a 60 year old man. To do this accurately, Amy gathered some reference images to use. Since we were only working on one person, Amy had set up the base with all the materials needed for the hair and makeup. To begin with, Amy asked the actor if he was okay with liquid latex being used. Once we got confirmation, I began working on the ageing makeup. I did this by gently pulling the skin in the direction that wrinkles form and applying latex in small amounts and thin layers to build up the wrinkled effect. While I did this, Amy used small amounts of clown white body paint to colour the hair grey. Once I had finished applying the latex, Amy applied some powder and foundation to prevent the skin from looking pale on camera. For this production, we practiced good health and safety precautions by keeping the base cl...

Christmas film:

Holly, Jolly Christmas - film: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbzAKJiHOGY On 24/11/2020, Paige Goodings, Stephen Allenden and myself took up the offering to work on a Christmas film called Holly, Jolly Christmas.  To begin with, we were given a file between us that contained information about the makeup they had in mind for each of the characters, including a short, detailed list and a moodboard. There was also information about the time they wanted the makeup done by and the time they will begin filming. Later on, the director sent us headshots of each of the actors, their names and which characters they will be playing. In order to plan the makeup looks, Paige, Stephen and I each discussed who will be designing which characters' makeup: Stephen designed the makeup for the staff members and Holly  Paige designed the makeup for the male customers and Noelle I designed the makeup for the female customers and Grace We then created a small moodboard for each of the characters' makeup f...
